Massage TherapyAt times, I have had some pain relief and general health benefit from regular massage therapy. At other times, I have not been able to tolerate massage therapy at all - the nerve pain and pressure in my head have made it too difficult. However, I do believe that it helps to relieve tension related pain, which most hydrocephalus patients suffer from, due to the chronic pain issues that most of us have. The fatigue from the pain translates into general tension, and massage can help to relieve that. My recommendation is that you find a therapeutic massage therapist if you can, as opposed to a spa-type massage. But don't discredit a spa-type massage... because those are wonderful!
